Hi, I'm David š I work as a software engineer and have a background in economics and policy. Outside of work, I pursue passion projects.
šØāš» I work as a software engineer at Octopus Deploy, where I help to build their continuous delivery and deployment automation tool for software teams. Before that, I worked at the Melbourne office of Bukalapak, an Indonesian unicorn ecommerce company.
š Before entering tech, I worked as a strategy analyst at Accenture Strategy ā Economic Insights. The Economic Insights team brings together strategy, economics and data science to help public and private sector organisations solve policy and market problems. Prior to that, I worked as a copyeditor for the economics and foreign affairs publication East Asia Forum, an initiative based out of the Crawford School of Public Policy.
š I studied economics and mathematics at the Australian National University, with the top grade in my economics honours cohort. I also studied one year of Chinese at the IUP Chinese Center at Tsinghua University, an advanced language program associated with a consortium of North American universities.
āØ Outside of work, you can find me coding and writing in pursuit of passion projects and sharing what I learn along the way.
